A mural on the side of a house next to the Camino depicts a pilgrim with an overloaded backpack dreaming of his easy chair at home. Within the first week of their journey, many pilgrims mail back home large packages of stuff they used to consider necessities. However, after carrying their worldly possessions on their backs for a few days, “necessities” quickly become unnecessary deadweight.
